ALBANY -- The Capital Region Semiconductor Task Force, a committee of the Center for Economic Growth, will present on Thursday the latest steps and developments in its effort to bring a microchip fabrication plant to the Capital Region.
The session will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the University at Albany's CESTM building at Fuller Road and Washington Avenue Extension.
The task force was formed earlier this year after CEG's initial push to clear the way for a chip-fab plant in Rensselaer Technology Park in North Greenbush was stopped short last fall by the Town Board, which didn't endorse the effort. …
