(ADPnews) - Jan 18, 2011 - Swedish telecoms major TeliaSonera AB (STO:TLSN) said today it will invest up to SEK 350 million (USD 52.6m/EUR 39.3m) in expanding its fibre broadband network in the Stockholm metropolitan region.
Via the investment, the company will give some 33,000 home owners access to Internet with speeds of 100 Mb/s.
Currently, TeliaSonera offers fibre-based broadband to house owners in the municipalities of Taby and Nacka in the Stockholm region. Through the expansion, the company plans to cover additional 10 municipalities by 2013.
